Shape Dominoes

Posted in Language Themes, Uncategorized by Kate

Froggy is really into dominoes these days. So I gave him the challenge of creating domino runs in different shapes.

He decided to take it a step further and connect the shapes.

Willkommen!

Hi there! I’m a non-native speaker of German raising my two boys to be bilingual.
Froggy was born in 2009 and is now in 6th  grade.
Hippo was born in 2012 and is in 3rd grade.
My husband PER is from the Netherlands, but he doesn’t speak Dutch with the kids. Although he will read books in Dutch to them sometimes.
We have had au pairs from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Unfortunately, due to covid, we were unable to have our last au pair join us. Hopefully she will visit us soon, though!
I’m often creating materials for the boys, and I wanted a way to share them with other German-speaking families. In 2015 I began teaching German to one pre-K class at our Montessori school and slowly added more classes. I am now teaching all the students in our school, from pre-K through 8th! In grades 1-8, I often use a method called Story Listening.
You can download all of the materials I post for FREE!
